Mission Statement

Masjid Jamaat Al’Mu-mineen located in Holiday Springs, Margate is outreaching to serve the Muslim Ummah and humanity. The Masjid is dedicated to promote the cause of Allah (SWT) through Islamic faith, and believes as its duty to provide spiritual well-being, enlightenment and social platform for the Muslim Community.
Founded in 1995, the Masjid features various programs like Sunday Madrassah, Boys Youth Group, Girls Youth Group, Ladies Group, Senior Citizen Group etc. Consistent with the Muslim Community’s dedication to provide nurturing and supportive spirit of Islam through the teachings of Holy Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet (Peace be upon him). Alhamdulillah, today MJAM is strong, vibrant and a driving force in the community for the propagation of Islam through the message of unity and equality.

MJAM will be an exemplary canopy of faith and love with the community of people moving in rhythm with one another in the same direction, and model as a place where the virtues of faith, peace and bliss are not the exception but a way of life. It will serve families of the Muslim brotherhood in South Florida and act as a forum to work together to bring peace on earth through the teachings of Islam-the righteous path.

About Jamaat Al-Mumineen
|
On Saturday, April 11, 1995 a fund-raising Lecture was held where a few brother’s & sister’s raised over $5,000 dollars. This money was used to lease a small office space which was about 600 square feet, to house their Masjid and Islamic Learning Center at 1507 North State Road 7. The organization became official and registered by the state of Florida on November 6, 1995.
Shortly after the Masjid became official in the state of Florida, Imam Rustam from Brooklyn, NY joined our congregation. Imam Rustam’s lead in daily prayer helped the growth of attendance in the Masjid in its early stages. During the month of Ramadan, the attendance grew to a point where this 1200 square foot office became inadequate to support the growth. Our Jamaat then relocated to a larger storefront of 3000 square feet at 7942 West Sample Road.
Today, Islam is growing in our community. Brothers and sistersisters are coming together for the propagation of Islam and to gain rewards
from Allah (SWTA). Alhamdulilah, Masjid Jamaat Al’Mumineen has become strong, vibrant and ready for building of there own
Mosque—Insha Allah!
Our goal is to build a strong Muslim Community In order to do this Jamaat Al’Mumineen has purchased & paid for 1.08 acre of
land at the cost of $118,000 in Margate’s Holiday Springs Area. Since funds have increased, Architectural plans have been submitted
to the City of Margate for approval, and has been approved as of Feb 6, 2003.
Alhamdulillah, we have raised adequate funds in order to build Masjid Jamaat Al-Mumineen in Margate, FL. We would like to develop a strong Muslim community in South Florida by educating one another about or dear religion of Islam.
